Blog Hop + Abilmente Fair + Giveaway
The lovely Jillian from Sew Unravelled nominated me to carry on with this current blog hop the origins of which seem to be surrounded in mystery -wouldn’t be cool to find out who exactly started it!?
Anyway, Jillian (I’m amazed by Jillian not only she is a fantastic sewer, she works, she studies and she is a mom!) thinks I’m sweet! That is so nice of her! I think my fiancee, for one, would disagree - and here is why:
Why do you write?
When I started sewing no one else among my family and friends could really understand why and even thought it to be a waste of time (which was really annoying) … so I needed to find people who “got it” and to find a way to interact with them. Besides, my doctor thought writing was a wonderful idea … so I started doing it and this blog was born. I do not particularly enjoy writing, I just do it because it’s challenging and if you followed my sewing “adventures” you might have noticed I love a good challenge and it did allow me to connect with some wonderful people and I hope it will keep on doing so.
What are you working on?
I’m preparing for the Abilmente Fair one of the most important european fairs dedicated to the creative handicrafts.
I’ll be joining in Vicenza, Anna from Paunnet, Silvia from Sewing Princess, Annika from Näh-Connection and the designers behind Pauline Alice Patterns, Deer and Doe, Aime comme Marie, and Compagnie M. Together will do some sewing, some chatting and get to know each other a little better. I hope you’ll come to find us!!! And here is the
If “it” means writing - I am no poet and I think my writing is sort of bad. If “it” is the blog itself and my sewing … I could write something complicated involving the words italian, style, taste etc… but would sound like cheap propaganda don’t you think? The blog pretty much represents me. And like me it’s slightly psychotic, slightly hypomaniac and terribly uneven. Everyone is different.
How does your writing process work?
Like going to the dentist - take a deep breath … sit in the chair .. hope for the best and get it over with!
Who is next?
SARA - Me and Sara started blogging pretty much at the same time! I was the first to comment on her blog she was the first to comment on mine! I like to think we have a special connection. She is an incredible sewer, such a stylish lady and I’m always looking forward to her comments - she always manages to have something meaningful to say!
ANNIE - I just love everything Annie does! Her writing is beautiful (she made me fell in love with french language again - I actually bought a french course!!!), her clothes are beautiful, her blog is beautiful - I think she is an all-around beautiful and talented person … one of those girls you would just love to meet.
I’m looking forward to reading your answers ladies!!!
Dear Sasha, that strong temperament is part of what I love about you ;) It was wonderful embarking on this blogging adventure with you, you talented girl! Very special indeed.

DeleteMi è piaciuta la sincerità delle tue risposte, ma non trovo assolutamente che tu scriva male, anzi. Mi piace come scrivi, sempre chiaro e comprensibile.
ReplyDeleteE grazie per il giveaway! Sono contenta di poter incontrare te, le altre sewing blogger e le designer. È un'occasione che non posso perdere, ad Abilmente ci sarò! :-)
Fantastico Tiz! Non vedo l'ora di incontrarti!!!
Deletenon scrivi assolutamente male! Puntuale e lineare, a me sembra, piuttosto :)! Ci vediamo ad Abilmente :D!!! Un bacione, a presto!!!

DeleteThose out takes are hilarious! I swear that my face looks like that in all my out takes where hubby is involved. I am not known for my patience LOL! Thanks for your kind words and it was lovely to get to know you better. Enjoy the fair! Sadly, it's a little far for me to travel ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, maybe a tad to long a journey ;) Thank you again Jillian!
DeleteYou made me laugh. That's so cool you have a photographer fiancee to whom you can actually show your grumpy faces. I don't have a skilled man for that and I have to show a happy face to his bad pictures if I have no choice. Actually I never even bother to ask. haha
ReplyDeleteI wish he was a photographer ;-)
Baci
ReplyDeleteGrazie Stefania!

ReplyDeleteI'm currently doing my homework (meaning writing my hop post) and I just realized that I didn't tell you how deeply I was touched by your words. I really mean it. It sounds crazy but I could have written exactly the same about you!
I wish I could have come to abilmente but unfortunately I will have to wait for the next edition. I hope we can meet in real life soon, maybe in Paris if you want to come to one of our "fiere" (Salon création et savoir faire in novembre and Aiguille en Fête in february). Enjoy your days at Abilmente with Pauline Alice! She is lucky to have a wonderful blogger like you to support and help her! Ciao!
Grazie Annie! Molto gentile come sempre ... I've asked Marie to say hi for me (btw they are all such amazing ladies !) I, too, hope to meet you soon and I hope by then to be able to string four french words together ;) A presto!
DeleteOuttakes like those are why I have to take my own photos now! Any more photos from my husband would be the end of us! I've just discovered your blog through Gillian and Ninie (your amazing dungarees!). Can't wait to read more x
ReplyDeleteWise decision taking your own photos ... I so much wish I could!
